Provence 2026: A Trip We Won’t Soon Forget

Some trips become fond memories. Others become stories that are retold again and again around the coffee machine. Our 2026 Blue Trip to Provence definitely belongs in the latter category.

Fifty eager colleagues set off for the beautiful Chateauform’ Domaine de Châteauneuf, surrounded by rolling vineyards, southern French charm, and breathtaking views that helped everyone unwind from the moment we arrived. The setting could hardly have been more perfect for a few days filled with connection, laughter, and unforgettable experiences.

Align Games 2026: The Battle for Bragging Rights

One of the highlights of the trip was undoubtedly the Align Games 2026.

Teams competed with great enthusiasm, impressive creativity, and varying degrees of athletic elegance. The stakes were high, especially since the winning team earned the coveted title of Align Champions 2026 and the right to use it for all it is worth over the coming year.

There was fierce competition, loud celebrations, and strategy discussions that would have made many professional sports teams proud. While only one team could be crowned champion, it was teamwork and camaraderie that emerged as the true winners.

White Party and Unforgettable Karaoke

As the sun set over Provence, it was time for what may go down as the most legendary moment of the trip: the White Party.

Dressed in white, we gathered for an evening filled with great energy, laughter, and dancing. But no Provence adventure would be complete without karaoke, and the stage was quickly taken over by colleagues revealing talents many of us never knew existed.

We witnessed everything from surprisingly strong vocal performances to interpretations that may be remembered more for their enthusiasm than their musical accuracy. Fortunately, the audience was generous, and applause was never in short supply.

Team Building at Its Best

Between activities, competitions, and celebrations, there was plenty of time to get to know one another beyond our usual projects and teams. Some of the best conversations happened around the dinner table, during walks around the estate, or over a drink in the warm evening air.

Trips like these remind us that strong teams are built just as much through shared experiences as through meetings, workshops, and project deliveries.

A Culinary Experience from Morning to Night

If there is one thing Provence does exceptionally well, it is food and drink. Throughout our stay, we enjoyed meals that left a lasting impression. Local ingredients, incredible flavors, and presentations that were works of art in their own right made every meal a highlight.

Complementing the dining experience was an excellent selection of beverages that showcased why the region is celebrated worldwide for its culinary traditions.

More Than Just a Blue Trip

Looking back, it is not only the activities, competitions, or parties that stand out. It is the people. The great conversations, spontaneous bursts of laughter, new connections, and the feeling of being part of something bigger.

Provence 2026 gave us lasting memories, stronger relationships, and stories that will be shared for a long time to come.

And to the winners of the Align Games 2026: congratulations on your title. We look forward to hearing about it at every possible opportunity over the next year. After all, that is exactly how it should be used. 🍾🏆🇫🇷

ERX, the next step in ERP. What does it mean?

Where ERP digitalised processes, transactions and efficiency, ERX — Enterprise Resource Execution — puts the person, the decision and the outcome at the centre. The process, the data and the erp system still matter, but they move into the background. What reaches the user is a short, clear prompt about the thing that needs attention right now.

The term is Gartner’s. They introduced Enterprise Resource Execution in their research on the shift beyond ERP, and it names something our customers already recognise from their own working days.

The difference is easiest to hear in how the system speaks.

Same data, same processes. A different starting point for the person using them.

Example: One order, thirty minutes, four areas

Take an ordinary Tuesday. Customer order 4471 will not make its promised delivery date. Today a planner spots the exception in an order list, checks stock across sites, calls purchasing about the delayed part, weighs the alternatives in a spreadsheet, mails the customer a new date and notes it in CRM. Roughly thirty minutes, four areas, three people — and it only works if you know the routine by heart.

With ERX the same process arrives as one decision:

Nothing was removed from the process. It was moved out of the user’s head and into the system.

The analysts point the same way

The move from system of record to system of action is not our speculation. It is the direction the market is already taking.

Why the partner matters here

ERX is not one product. It is an ERP, a data platform and an AI layer that have to work together. The moment the answer stops being a single vendor’s roadmap, you need someone on your side of the table: no licence revenue, no quota, no angle to defend. We start from the decision you want to improve, then say what it should run on — and we can say when the best answer sits outside the systems we know best.

In practice there are two routes. You can build ERX on the AI capabilities inside IFS, or you can build it outside the ERP, on your own data and AI layer. We work with both. Our own view is that the route outside the ERP usually gives more freedom and a longer life, but that is a call we make together with you, based on your landscape and your ambition. Either way we have solutions ready to put in place today.
