Ashan Bakmeedeniya

Ashan Bakmeedeniya holds a BSc in Computer Science (First Class Hons) and an MBA in Business Administration, bringing over 12 years of experience at IFS, where he advanced to Principal Software Engineer and later became Senior Technical Advisor to the IFS R&D COO Office.

His key contributions span across the IFS Cloud Platform and R&D, including architecting and implementing the Middle-tier OData Provider and the IFS Cloud Deployment Models (cloud and remote). He was also a founding member of the Lifecycle Experience Team, driving automation of cloud infrastructure and security pipelines.

As a Technical Advisor and Customer Advocate, Ashan led readiness for IFS pioneer projects, provided technical leadership, and ensured product alignment with customer needs. He also played a critical role in IFS R&D Azure Cloud Governance, managing over 100 R&D subscriptions to optimize cost efficiency and ensure compliance.
